User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Fast and Furious
This one grabs you by the lapels. There is relatively little exposition here, just straight story. And the action? It his hurled at you in a visually arresting way, with hard and fast pacing. And boy, it is almost shockingly violent (this one is not for the kiddies). It will be interesting to see how they expand the relatively sparse story for the upcoming Bruce Willis - Helen Mirren - Morgan Freeman film.

4 Stars Slim, Swift, Deadly
Very short, economical read, but also pretty entertaining. Typical Warren Ellis, heavy on the “awful things done in the name of freedom, on behalf of the government.” The highlight is Cully Hamner’s outstanding illustration.

1 Stars ultra violent, pointless
After seeing the previews for the movie, “Red,” I wanted to read the book on which it is based. While the movie appears it will be tongue-in-cheek clever and fun, the graphic novel is ridiculously violent and ultimately pointless. Very disappointing and I threw away the book after reading it.
