5 Stars Peter David’s run gets better and better
Peter David’s long, legendary run on the Incredible Hulk reached new heights with the issues collected in this fifth collection of the Visionaries series. With big time run-in’s with everyone from the Fantastic Four to classic Hulk villains Abomination and the Leader, the green goliath certainly has his hands full as David introduces the villain known as the Madman, who proceeds to wreak havoc upon the Hulk. It should also be worth noting that collected here is the return of the classic green-skinned Hulk we all know and love, as well as a brief, but memorable, reunion with the Defenders. Featuring great artwork from Jeff Purves and legendary Hulk artist Dale Keown, this fifth collection of Peter David’s run is a must own for any and every Hulk fan. All in all, there is a reason that Peter David’s long run on Incredible Hulk is still so revered to this day, and just scanning this TPB alone will show you why.
5 Stars This is it
This is a good point to start your “incredible hulk/peter david” collection. I have also the Ground zero paperback, if you don’t have it get Incredible Hulk Visionaries - Peter David, Vol. 2 (v. 2) at which point i guess you’ll buy them all.
In this book you’ll get confrontations with the abomination, the FF, the leader, the madman (not Allred’s), Namor and Dr. Strange amd the return of the green Hulk. Can’t wait to get Hulk Visionaries: Peter David 6
5 Stars From One Era to Another…
The Visionaries collection of Peter David’s acclaimed 12-year run makes its mark with this volume! Collecting issues #364-372, and Annual #16, it begins with the introduction of the villian Madman, who has developed a poison toxic enough to kill even the Hulk, who must fight to stay alive against the Abomination, Fantastic Four and the Leader along the way!
From there, we see the Hulk battle Mr. Hyde and Freedom Force and the small but memorable Defenders reunion. As a nail-biter ending, we see the unforgettable return of the savage green Hulk!
Featuring the art of Jeff Purves, Sam Keith, Angel Medina and Hulk fan-favorite Dale Keown, the Hulk’s title soared in populariry with the upcoming issues, and here’s hoping Marvel continues to publish several more of these PAD classics in TPB form.
