Stephen Kings The Stand Captain Trips No 2

Stephen Kings The Stand Captain Trips No 2

Stephen King’s horror epic continues in this issue as the unseen killer, the super-flu Captain Trips, spreads across the entire country, a tide of disease and death. Meanwhile, in Atlanta, in the Center for Disease Control, the US government has taken a keen interest in Stuart Redman, who seems to be the only person immune to the Captain Trips infection. They are determined to find out why–with or without Stu’s cooperation. And what do the recurring nightmares Stu’s been having–about a dark man with red eyes standing in a cornfield–mean? Plus: Frannie Goldsmith and her father! Larry Underwood in New York! And Nick Andros takes a wrong turn in Shoyo, Arkansas!

5 Stars Another Fantastic Continuation of the Captain Trips Saga
I just picked this comic up and read it several times within the span of about an hour (give or take a few minutes). This is volume two in a 5 issue limited series, which by the way I just found out is actually only the first of several limited edition series that will encompass the entire “The Stand” story.

When I did my review for Stand Captain Trips #1 Comic Book, I was under the mistaken impression that the entire story was going to be told in only five (5) comics. I am glad to finally find out that I was ill-informed and that there is actually going to be several limited edition series.

As I am sure you are already familiar with the story itself, so there is really no point in rehashing all that. What I would like to say however, is that the artwork and visual storyline is simply superb and really a joy to read. I am really looking forward to the next installment in the series.
