4 Stars Thanks for everything.
Got this for my brother for Christmas. It came super quick and in in perfect condition. Thanks for everything.
5 Stars sweet continuation of a great story
This is the second omnibus that was released that features the continuation of the firefly and serenity story. It is awesome, and if you enjoy the characters at all, I highly recommend picking this up, it is well worth it.
2 Stars Falls quite short
This does NOT live up to the expectations of any Firefly fan…except those who love everything Joss does and will buy any trinket, book, or 15th release of the same movie online no matter what it is…like a crazed sports fan with their paraphernalia!
The grammar doesn’t fit.
The cursing isn’t phonetic (just symbols)
Jayne is shown with 50 less IQ points than in the series
The storyline is choppy
Silly bantering goes on EVERY single page, trying to reassure the reader of each characters personality traits every fifth frame
It is printed in CHINA.
I would love to have the ink tested for lead. Printing this in Shanghai does NOT make it more authentic. If anything, it explains the poor grasp of a wild west space accent and lingo.
Serenity, if not canceled, would have run for ten years before people started hating it. It would have ended up like M*A*S*H*
And yeah, I’m a Browncoat and have $2000 worth of QMX props, as well as every video and book produced of Firefly and Serenity, even the RPG and wear a “Jayne hat” in the winter. I am *NOT* happy with this garbage.
The paper is flimsy and the ink stinks as well!
On a lighter note, the drawing on the covers is 100% great, but the artwork inside looks rushed. If the characters weren’t so amazingly different in the series, you wouldn’t be able to tell them apart in this comic.
Ten bucks for a comic, get lost “Dark Hose”! Not gonna hose me for another ten bucks.
4 Stars Nice graphic novel
I thought that this was a book. It isn’t, it is a graphic novel. It is still extremely cool (even cooler?). We’re huge fans of the show and bought volumes 1 and 2 for my son for Christmas. He’s happy. I’m happy. It just wasn’t what I expected.
5 Stars Serenity
This book is wonderful. I miss Firefly so much since it went off the air. The book is a quick read. It shows some of the life while they lived on Firefly and the life before Firefly.
The pictures and writing are very clear and clean. I would reccommend this book to an older crowd due to the violence and adult content. Perhaps 14 years and older. And of course I would recommend it to any Firefly or Serenity fan 100%.
I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.
