Gothic and Lolita Bible v 4

Gothic and Lolita Bible v 4

Volume 4 will contain original content as well as authorized translation of material originally appearing in Japanese volume 27, December 2007. “The Gothic & Lolita Bible” is a quarterly, mook (magazine/book hybrid) that’s a combination fashion magazine, culture guide, and art book. The Bible caters to fans of two separate but related fashions out of Japan, Gothic and - to a greater extent - Lolita. The Lolita look, a sweet, modest, Victorian-influenced fashion with origins in Japanese street fashion, has a particularly strong and growing fan base in the United States. The Japanese Bible has played an instrumental role in promoting and standardizing the Gothic and Lolita styles, and the U.S. Bible aims to achieve the same success in the American market, where there’s a growing desire for more information in English.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Winter cuteness
I thought this volume was better than 2 and 3. I tried Angelic Pretty kitty muffler pattern and it turned out pretty cute. Pics and details here:

3 Stars Still a disappointment.
I really don’t see much of an improvement between this and the first issue. It’s still caters to the beginner lolita, in my opinion. I suggest save your money and get the japanese issues.

5 Stars Gothic and Lolita Bible 3 Review
I loved this issue of Gothic and Lolita Bible. It continues to give a huge amount of inspiration to me with pages and pages of gorgeous clothes, and articles. This issue had some great cooking ideas for Halloween, and also offered more free Gothic and Lolita sewing patterns than the previous issues, which I’m glad for. A must have for a Gothic Lolita fan.
